Skinny Who?
Skinny Jim started with a father, son and two Suzuki Jimnys. It’s all grown from there. Other than the Jimnys. They’re still small.
Like many, we reckon these lightweight 4x4s are the business. Especially when it comes to off-roading, camping, cruising, beaching, parking. More than you’d think.
The one thing the Jimny doesn’t like? Excess weight. That’s why we’re all about keeping Jimnys skinny – in weight, style and functionality.
Overload your favourite little wagon with heavyweight accessories, and you lose the magic. We learned this first-hand.
That’s what led us to making Jimny-specific gear. Hardware as light as it is tough, and as minimal as the car itself.
Like the Jimny, for the Jimny.

KEEPING JIMNYs
SKINNY

All of our gear is made in New Zealand, which we like.
We started with the roof racks and we’ve been working our way down from there – designing, making, and then often re-designing. It takes ages, but it’s been worth it.
Paul (left) with a lifetime of automotive tinkering under his belt, is a relentless innovator when it comes to product design. Tom (right) is all about the aesthetic and usability of the gear, which means he spends a lot of time putting it to the test.
They’re both always keen to chat about your Jimny, their Jimny, Jimny ideas, Jimny adventures, Jimny misadventures. You get it!
Stay Skinny,
SJ
