The stubby edition of our Inbetweener, specifically designed to add even more utility to our 3 Cross Bar Setup for the Jimny 5-Door. Tipping the scales at a featherweight 3.4kg and approx ¾ the length of our Regular Inbetweener.

This super lightweight platform is our ‘in between’ roof rack configuration – slotting between the Strong Boy Bars (purchased separately) for a truly modular roof setup, with quick release functionality.

If you don’t want to commit to a bigger roof rack, but still want to carry a variety of gear on your Suzuki Jimny, without the hassle of added brackets – the Inbetweener is your answer.

The Stubby requires a 73cm bar spacing (centre-to-centre) so is also a great option for those who want to run a narrower 2-bar layout. It works nicely with our JB74 3-Bar kit too, just note that in this configuration the bars won’t be spaced evenly.

Static load rated to 80kg, and tested up to 30kg offroad (dynamic). We can’t state a figure beyond this due to Suzuki’s specified 30kg dynamic load rating for the Jimny itself.

Rest assured the platform is strong.
Next to nothing. The Strong Boy Bars have an integrated windbreaker and the Inbetweener is incredibly low profile, so you can expect a very quiet ride, with no humming or whistling.
We have tested in a huge variety of conditions, and have never heard the Inbetweener on the roof.

High quality anodised billet aluminium clamp handles.

Built to last, not to rust.
The platform slides into the T-slots of the Strong Boy Bars with a locating bolt. Hand-turn each handle to clamp and secure. Hand-turn to release.
High quality textured powder-coat in black. A tough finish to endure NZ and Australia’s harsh conditions.
The Mighty Platforms are our expedition racks, with greater surface area and the added benefit of perimeter rails. The Inbetweener is the nimble and super lightweight option. Both have the same base – our Strong Boy Bars.

The Mighty Smart Rack utilises the same bar spacing as the regular length Inbetweener. The Mighty Long Rack utilises the same bar spacing as our Inbetweener Stubby.
Some of our customers move between the two variations. Mighty Platform for bigger missions. The Inbetweener for super lightweight adventures.
There is also a neat way to combine the two. You can remove a couple of ‘middle bars’ from either Mighty Platform, and attach an Inbetweener in their place – giving the Inbetweener the added benefit of perimeter rails.
